HELLO!

Hello, my name is Ruth and I am rapidly approaching the end of my 20's! In early 2017 I left the bright lights of mainland city living and returned to the place where I grew up, a remote island in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. I now run my own sewing-based Etsy shop full time from my little cottage on a hillside, where I live with my husband of 5 years and our very special 8 year old boy. I love tea, musicals, Eurovision and I am a self-certified champion of Radio 2's Pop Master.

ABOUT A REMOTE LIFE

A Remote Life has been born as an extension to my Instagram page. I have been through a couple of different blogs and domain names in years gone by, mainly focusing on fashion and styling, but felt that a change in direction was necessary to fit in with my recent change in lifestyle. A Remote Life will still feature a lot of fashion as it is one of my all time loves, but will also feature a mix of lifestyle, food, family life and the great outdoors.
